Technology and Job Searching Tips
A job search can be a long tiresome process but is very necessary in order to find your dream career. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when looking for employment.

Always have your resume updated and in Word and PDF format.

There are so many job boards out there. Make sure you keep a list of all your username and passwords.

Usernames should not be funny and unprofessional. Keep it simple and professional. For example, using your first name initial and last name, maybe adding a number at the end (i.e., SSmith20).

Make sure to read the job description in its entirety. Often times you will find information that will determine whether or not you can or want to do the job. You may also find instructions on items that need to be completed prior to the interview.

Brush up on your computer skills. A lot of information is conducted and transmitted electronically. Know how to navigate a computer, software skills, uploading, and downloading information is also important to know.

Make sure to keep a list of the jobs for which you applied. This way you will know exactly which job they're referring to when they call you back.
